Midnight - Partner 3 - The Protector

Matthew "Midnight" Williams is Partner 3 of the group. This was not of importance or ranking, but an identifier. He stood over six foot tall weighing in at over 300 pounds with a dark complexion. There was almost all ways a smile on his face, laughter in his voice and caring beyond compare. In Junior and Senior High Schools, he played first chair tuba. If you asked a woman to describe what attracts her to him, you'd see a common description.

A lovable teddy bear with a singing voice comparable to such greats like Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson. If you had a problem, he was all ways there to support you. If you were depressed, he lifted your spirit. If you needed protection, he would protect you. In our group he was the Protector.

Midnight was my best friend, my brother. Out of all the things we had been through, and being as close to him as I was, I should have known that everything was not right when I departed for home. We had a long talk the night before about his life, and how depressed it had made him. If he had not of said anything, I would not have known. He always had a smile on his face, and a joke on his lips. He was, well, jolly.

I thought that his mind was in a much better place when I drove the 165 miles homes. He wanted me to hang around, but I didn't. His voice was no different. Two days later, I was fatally wrong. Three people were dead. Two killed by the one. The one being Midnight, Partner 3.
